The Senior Secondary Level (Class XII) program at Gujarat State Open School is designed for students who have completed their Secondary (Class X) education and wish to pursue higher secondary education through Open & Distance Learning mode. This program is equivalent to Class 12th of any recognized state or national board.
Key Point: The Senior Secondary certificate from GSOS is valid for university admission, competitive examinations, employment, and all purposes where a Class 12th certificate is required.

Examinations are conducted twice a year. Students can appear for exams on an On-Demand basis after completing the minimum study period. Each subject carries 100 marks with theory (80 marks) and practical/TMA (20 marks) components where applicable.
Passing Criteria: Minimum 33% marks required in each subject (both theory and practical separately where applicable). Students who fail in one or two subjects can appear for improvement exams.
