Eligibility for Admission
Punjab State Open School (PBSOS) provides flexible learning opportunities for students through Open & Distance Learning mode. Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for admission.
For Secondary (Matriculation / 10th)
- Minimum age should be 14 years or above
- Student should have passed Class 8th or equivalent
- Self-study learners, school dropouts, working candidates are eligible
- No upper age limit for admission
For Senior Secondary (12th)
- Minimum age should be 16 years or above
- Must have passed Secondary (10th / Matriculation) or equivalent
- Gap year candidates are eligible
- Working professionals and private candidates can apply
Additional Guidelines
- Admission is open throughout the year (as per session guidelines)
- Documents submitted must be genuine and verifiable
- Admission is subject to document verification by the board
